GLB to USDZ — how to keep animations for Apple Quick Look?

I'm building an AR experience for a furniture client. I have animated GLB files (a chair that unfolds, a table with extending leaves) and I need USDZ versions for Apple Quick Look on iOS.
The GLB to USDZ converter gives me the geometry and textures fine, but the animations are stripped. Is there any way to preserve skeletal or transform animations during the conversion?
Or is there an alternative workflow you'd recommend for getting animated USDZ files?
